Wanna know more about Name Day? Here you go...
Name Day was started on November 15th, 2028
President McClintock decided that teenagers should no longer have to identify with the name they are born with
People had already started using handles and usernames to identify themselves
The federal government realized that birth names were no longer a relevant point of identification
Movement was partially born out of the LGBTQ+ social movements in the 2010’s
The government established Name Day in order to promote freedom of expression

This whole deal caused a whole lot of issues...
This law disrupted the cohesion of the nation’s youth
The youth of the West rebelled and immediately turned their back on the East
The West believed that the East was denouncing family and personal identity by adopting this new fluid, “name changing” law
The East understood that this was more of a matter of individuality and personal identity

The process for choosing on Name Day goes a little like this...
Screen scans your body 3 times
Peronsal profile appears and screen asks for identity authentication
Scan thumb on phone screen to unlock duo access
Name box appears "Editable" for the first time
Click "pencil" next to text box and Edit name
     Hit "Save"

My friends helped my pick my name
I picked a name that I want to personally embody
I chose this as a form of self-reflection and self-identification
I am a firm believer that this new law encourages uniqueness and facilitates self-expression
